Chicken Wings with Sweet & Spicy Raisin BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
Sweet & Spicy Raisin BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup California raisins, soaked in 1 cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Chicken Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- ½ cup cornstarch
- oil for frying
Garnish
- Toasted sesame seeds (optional)
- Cilantro (optional)
Procedure

- Boil one cup of water and pour over the California Raisins. Let it sit for 10 minutes to soften.
- Place all the ingredients (including the water from the California Raisins into a pot) and cook for about 20 minutes.
- Blend the BBQ sauce until smooth.
- Coat the chicken wings in cornstarch and fry until golden brown.
- Completely coat the chicken wings in BBQ sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro if you wish and serve.
